NYPD HOLY NAME SOCIETY
Manhattan ~ Bronx ~ Staten Island

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

I would like to thank all those who attended the 90th annual Communion Breakfast on April 27, 2008. The breakfast was a huge success and the honorees are to be commended. The Holy Name Society has been very busy since my last message and I can tell you with confidence that we are now an action organization in the forefront of charitable works and interfaith awareness. The members of the Holy Name Society are always willing to do what it takes to lend a hand to those in need. On May 18, 2008 the Society along with the Shomrim Society will hold our first Annual Family Day at the Police Museum. This will be a special day that we will share together ecumenically. The children of the Ronald McDonald House have been invited to join us for this special day. If you would like to attend please call 646-610-6472 for more information. We are still volunteering at the St Anthony Residence in the Bronx each Monday night so please consider giving some time to those in need. In August the Society will travel to Mt. Rushmore from August 8 thru August 18th for the very low price of $875.00 which includes everything with breakfast and dinner each day. Please join us on this “American Adventure”. On October 29, 2008 the Holy Name along with Shomrim will travel to Germany to trace the roots of Pope Benedict as well as explore the land of the Sound of Music in Austria. We will then travel to the Holy Land to walk in the footsteps of Our Lord Jesus. Please contact 646-610-6472 for a color brochure.

Until next time please stay safe, be well and pray for vocations to religious life.

 God Bless,
Brian P. Reilly
President
