Dear Holy Name Member,

On Saturday, January 7, 2012, the Msgr. McCaffrey Memorial Scholarship Examination will be given at the Police Academy beginning at 9 A.M. This test will be prepared, administered and graded by professional educators, and will be open to children, brothers and sisters of our active and retired members in good standing who will graduate from elementary school in June 2012, and who are entering their FIRST YEAR of a Catholic High School in September 2011. It will also be open to children of our deceased members who have passed away and were members of our Society at the time of their death.

Good standing on the part of a member means he/she are paid up for 2012 at the time of the exam, and for the previous SIX (6) YEARS 2006 THRU 2011 at the time the application is received at this office.

As in the past, we welcome and appreciate donations to the Holy Name Society. If you are able to send a donation, there is tear-off on the bottom for your convenience.

A FINAL NOTE: The student must have taken the New York Archdioceses CO-OP Exam or its equivalent and must be attending a Catholic High School in the fall. Our Exam is given solely to determine the recipients of our scholarship award. The best of luck to all children concerned, AND DON’T DELAY filling out the application below and returning it to the Holy Name Society Office.
